It's All Greek to Me by Katie MacAlister

If you are looking for a light easy read, one with little emotional turmoil (well actually no emotional turmoil) this is the perfect book. MacAlister is very good at sweet whirlwind romances with heavy splashes of comedic relief. And this one is no different. It's about a writer named Harry going to Greece and meeting the "billionaire Greek playboy" (although his playboy ways never really seem to come up...) and they fall in love. That really is the entire plot, everything else is a bump in the road. It is a very sweet story although I must say sometimes it's too light, as I love some emotional investment in characters and hers are never quite flushed out enough to do that. The comedy can sometimes be a bit forced and with corny lines like, "You must guide me my wild water spirit" during a love making scene I'm not sure if I'm supposed to be wooed or laughing. I chose to laugh. The characters don't have all that much depth but I really did enjoy reading this book, and is definitely one of MacAlister's bests. Definitely a good Summer read.
